The 2016 WPLL Summer Season has started and the turnout this year has been phenomenal!!!
In our Farms division for baseball and softball, we have over sixty (60!!) players sign up for training with Jimmy Bulva and his staff at Game Seven. Jimmy and his staff will be working with the boys and girls each week for six weeks going over the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Training is being held on Tuesdays at Caemerrer Park. The first session was a big hit for the girls and boys!! Bring on Week 2!!!
In our majors and minors baseball divisions, almost 40 players in each division signed up for summer baseball. We were able to get three full teams for each division and have scheduled two games for each team at Kelleher Field. Majors are playing Monday, Wednesday and Friday night and Minors are playing Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday night. It is a six week season with each team playing 12 games.
So if you are looking to watch some great baseball, come on down to Kelleher any night or watch through the fence at the town pool. And f you want to see the future stars of WPLL baseball and softball, head on down to Caemerrer Park on Tuesday night.
Have a great summer season boys and girls and PLAY BALL!!!
