World Series Game-1 (Best 2-of-3 Series):

Williston Park ace pitcher against the Yorkville Patriots lefty ace. Game scoreless 0-0 thru 5 innings. Yorkville takes 1-0 lead in the top of the 6th. In the bottom of the 6th ... Danny Martinucci singles, Casey Cunningham singles, Chris Serrano singles ... bases loaded, 0 outs, Williston Park still trailing 1-0 ... John Quinn singles, tie game ... Popout to 3rd base, 1 out ... game still tied 1-1  ... Jimmy Bulva then hits the game winning single. Amazing. Williston Park takes game-1 by score of 2-1 and takes 1-0 series lead.

World Series Game-2:

Williston Park takes a 4-1 lead after 2 innings. Yorkville narrows the lead to 4-3 after 3 innings. In the bottom of the 6th inning, with 2 outs and 2 strikes on the batter, Yorkville ties the game 4-4. Yorkville then leaves the winning run on 3rd base to end the 6th and the game goes into extra innings. In the top of the 7th inning, Williston Park takes a 5-4 lead on singles by Chris Serrano, John Quinn, and Jimmy Bulva. Yorkville then ties the game 5-5 in the bottom of the 7th and has the bases loaded with 1 out and the count 3-0 on the batter. A walk wins the game for Yorkville. Next pitch by Danny Martinucci ... strike-1 ... now 3-1 count ... next pitch ... grounder to 3rd base .. play at the plate ... out!, now 2 outs ... the next batter strikes out and the game goes into the 8th inning. In the top of the 8th inning, Williston Park then gets singles from Matt Lanfair and Danny Martinucci, an intentional walk to Chris Serrano to load the bases, and a single by Matt Goodrich to take a 7-5 lead. In the bottom of the 8th, Yorkville then gets the tying runners on 2nd and 3rd base with two outs. The Yorkville leadoff hitter then hits a line shot down the 1st base line. The Williston Park 1st baseman (Matt Goodrich) dives, stops the ball, the batter races for 1st base, the tying run rounds 3rd base on his way to the plate, Goodrich can't get to his feet but crawls and dives on 1st base a split second before the batter gets to 1st base. Game Over. World Series Over. Williston Park wins the World Series!
