The Williston Park Mayor's Trophy Tournament will be governed by the Williamsport Little League Rules EXCEPT as set forth below:

 

I.  Participation:

1. The maximum number of players per team is fifteen (15), but only a maximum of fourteen (14) are allowed to play in a game. Rosters must list all fifteen (15) players and the roster must be submitted prior to the start of the tournament. No substitutions of players from the initial rosters will be permitted once the tournament begins.

2. Each player must play for (3) consecutive outs in the field, or, have one (1) at bat in the game.

3. Nine (9) players in the field and one (1) extra hitter (EH). The EH is optional. If an EH is used they may not play the field. A Universal line-up may be used, this is optional

Note: The Williamsport Re-entry and Courtesy runner rules will apply, however Courtesy runner allowed for the catcher with 2 outs (no limit)

II.  Pitching:

Pitchers once removed from the mound may not return as pitchers

On the 3rd trip to the mound an inning the pitcher must be removed

A Pitcher must be removed after hiting 3 batters

A Pitcher must be removed when said pitcher reaches 85 pitches, but the pitcher may remain in the game at another position

Exception: If a pitcher reaches the limit imposed above while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until that batter reaches base or is put out.

Note 1: Intentional Walk – Before a pitch is delivered to the batter, the catcher must inform the umpire-in-chief that the defensive team wishes to give the batter an intentional base on balls. The umpire-in-chief waves the batter to fi rst base. The ball is dead.

• If a player pitches 46 or more pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 to 45 pitches in a day, one calendar day of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1 to 20 pitches in a day, no rest is required.


A player may not pitch in consecutive games.
Exceptions – A player may pitch in consecutive games if less than 21 pitches were pitched in the previous game

 

III.  Mercy Rule:

1. If after four (4) innings (three and one-half innings if the home team is ahead), and a team has a lead of ten (10) runs or more, the manager of the team with the least runs shall concede the victory to the opponent. If the visiting team has the lead, then the home team must bat in their half of the inning.

IV.  Bunting and Stealing:

1. Bunting is permitted

2. Unlimited stealing is permitted, including the stealing of home.

V.  Home Team:

1. The home team will be determined by a coin toss by the umpire and the respective managers prior to the start of each game.

VI.  General:

1. Remember good sportsmanship throughout

2. Failure to abide by these rules and the Williamsport rules may result in expulsion from the tournament of any player and/or team.

3. No jewelry of any kind can be worn by any player on the playing field.
