Williston Park 10u Girls Softball District Champs !
The 10U Lady Patriots took the field Sunday morning 7/11/2010 with one thing in mind, Being the first team in Williston Park Softball history to win the District 28 Championship! They did not disappoint, Led by the outstanding pitching of Patrica G (13 K's) the Lady Patriots beat Albertson Herricks 5 to 2. They jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Aileen H had a clutch 2 out hit to score what would be the winning run, alone with catching an outstanding game in the what was one of the hottest days this year. Emily M also had a key hit and made a great catch in right field late in the game!! Complete team effort with every girl play there part to perfection. Great Job Girls! Monday May 31st is Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, it is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. Let's support those who have supported us, get out and march!
The Parade starts from the American Legion, we will assemble at 9:45am at the Broad and Syracuse intersection, and fall in behind the Legion as the parade passes. A short Ceremony to follow at the end of the Parade at Village Hall.
