What a great year for Williston Park Softball!

First and foremost thank you to all the coaches and parents who make this league run. This is an all volunteer league and nothing happens without everyone pitching in!

Our enrollment again this year was solid with over 95 young ladies participating on one of our 8 teams. This year we had 2 Farms Teams (Rossano & Scarola), 3 Minors Teams (Voyer, Corbo, McHugh) and three Majors teams (Scarola, Bory, Walls/Bacchioni). The coaches all did a magnificant job with the girls since we started the winter workouts in January. That seriously is a ton of time and effort so make sure and thank your coaches if you have not done so already!

On the field we has some amazing performances. Our 7th Grade Lady Patriots (Scarola) defeated Manhasset to bring home the league championship in the Majors Division! This team has been together from the beginning and is as good a team as I have seen come through Williston Park in my 17 years here!

Our 5th Grade Minors Team (Voyer) lost a heartbreaker in the Minors championship game vs Albertson-Herricks in extra innings. Anther supremely coached team with plenty of talent that will continue to make some noise in our District the next couple of years.

Our Farms teams teams don’t have playoffs, but they played hard and continue working on thee fundamental skills that will yield dividends in the years to come!

Again couldn’t be prouder of our coaches and ladies. Cant wait till next year!

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all enjoyed this past weekend. Just as a reminder Pre-tee ball resumes at its normal time the next two weeks (6/1 and 6/8). June 15 is the last day of pre-tee ball and there will be one game at 9:00 and the other game at 10:00 am. At the conclusion of the games on 6/15, coaches will hand out medals and baseballs with the child’s name on it to their teams. See you Saturday

Good afternoon parents and coaches. I hope everyone is doing well. On June 1, we will begin playing pre-tee ball practice games with our four teams. One game will be played on the main field and one game will be played in left field. The rules are pretty simple. Everyone bats and once the line-up is done the hitting teams becomes the fielding team and the team that was just on the field bats now. This is how the games are played. On June 15, pre-tee ball will have its last games of the year One game will
Be played at 9:00 on the main field and the second game will be played at 10:00. Each game will last approximately 45 minutes followed by a medal ceremony.
