What a great year for Williston Park Softball!

First and foremost thank you to all the coaches and parents who make this league run. This is an all volunteer league and nothing happens without everyone pitching in!

Our enrollment again this year was solid with over 95 young ladies participating on one of our 8 teams. This year we had 2 Farms Teams (Rossano & Scarola), 3 Minors Teams (Voyer, Corbo, McHugh) and three Majors teams (Scarola, Bory, Walls/Bacchioni). The coaches all did a magnificant job with the girls since we started the winter workouts in January. That seriously is a ton of time and effort so make sure and thank your coaches if you have not done so already!

On the field we has some amazing performances. Our 7th Grade Lady Patriots (Scarola) defeated Manhasset to bring home the league championship in the Majors Division! This team has been together from the beginning and is as good a team as I have seen come through Williston Park in my 17 years here!

Our 5th Grade Minors Team (Voyer) lost a heartbreaker in the Minors championship game vs Albertson-Herricks in extra innings. Anther supremely coached team with plenty of talent that will continue to make some noise in our District the next couple of years.

Our Farms teams teams don’t have playoffs, but they played hard and continue working on thee fundamental skills that will yield dividends in the years to come!

Again couldn’t be prouder of our coaches and ladies. Cant wait till next year!

Save the date for our annual photo day on Sunday, June 2nd from 8AM-12PM at John Caemmerer Park (165 Wentworth Avenue, Albertson). RAIN OR SHINE as photos will be taken indoors. The individual team schedule will be provided to the coaches. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Team and individual photos will be taken during that time.
